Home Business Or Pyramid Scheme?

by C J Whitehorse on June 26, 2009

A few pyramid schemes advertised on the internet usually offer attractive returns for working at home. Take your time to learn more about these mlm business companies that offer online jobs before you spend any of your hard-earned money into it. Usually it is the naive and gullible who are the first victims to put their heads to the slaughter. In considering an offer, read the fine prints and see if the company is out to rip you of whatever little savings you have instead of genuinely offering you a job opportunity.

One type that never seems to go away are the pyramid schemes and when you receive an email to join a program free and earn money from your down line, this sounds like the easiest way to achieve it. You will also have to buy products of the company on a monthly basis at a specified value before you can qualify for a certain percentage as bonus payment. When the buying and sponsoring in the pyramid scheme stops, the bonuses automatically also stops!

Earning twenty dollars from a spending of sixty dollars is not so bad but to keep spending without earning anything in return is disastrous. For those who join to earn a second income from the pyramid scheme, they can fall back onto their main income job but for those who depend totally on this income (having discarded their old job), the decision making presents a big ordeal of the river of no return. There are companies who offer great home based network marketing opportunities or that pay for work done on the Internet – you just have to know where to look and how to tell if they are legitimate. Other people’s experiences working for a company is a good reference point to identify a legitimate company with good standing on the internet. Surf the internet and study different websites and assess their offers because it won’t take long to find those that are reputable.

The recent proliferation of various pyramid schemes and money making ideas had been responsible in creating problems to many people. The structure of this type of scheme does allow ‘early birds’ to make money but as more people participate, those at the base of the pyramid will be forced to carry the financial burden. It is not easy to locate people who will buy sixty dollars worth of products they will never use to make a few dollars.

People sign up and join a pyramid not knowing that they will have to buy something to make money. Once you join you will be continuously coaxed and coerced into spending more to upgrade your status in order to start making money. There is no guarantee that others will upgrade when you upgrade and buy products so you may be the only one to do so. After waiting to make money, you will give up and be out the business for a product you never used. If people know that only the original product owners are reaping the benefits of every pyramid scheme, then it would be easier to find real ‘work from home business’ jobs on the internet. The need to investigate before signing up for any internet ‘work from home business‘ jobs can be safely discounted, in the absence of pyramid scams.
